FINALLY!

I just had the urge to draw movie!elricest and have it be like things SHOULD have been in the movie (running hug, kisses, smex, etc.) But geez, Ed and Al really should have hugged. The movie was so angsty and then they just stood there looking at each other, totally like it hadn't been 2 years since they last saw each other and a long time since Al had a body. ><

So finally, Ed and Al get their hug from me. I went back to cell shading to make it look more like the movie, which was weird. I haven't done cell style in ages, I don't think I've ever done something cell style on DA. I'm mostly pleased with the way it turned out, hopefully the shadows look alright. I love their pose though. Haha, you can barely see Ed above Al.

The background is stock, I just manipulated the colors and set it to color burn over a bright blue color. I think the clouds look nice.

CS2 + Wacom tablet in about 2-4 hours (I did this over a few days, so not sure how long it really took).

While I'm not one for 'cest pairings, I will say that they needed at least a glomp to celebrate their reunion! Anywho, this is lovely! The expression on Al's face is perfect and the coloring is rich.

And yeah, when I first saw the movie I was hoping for a hug, kisses or something -___- but it was none of that there *sigh*
